I’m joining my blogging friend L-Jay’s challenge to avoid all added refined sugars for 30 days!
I have 8 more pounds to lose before I’m in the “normal range” on the BMI scale, and those sneaky added sugars may be whats been holding me back.

Although I already eat a minimally processed, low sugar diet, I still consume some added sugar.
What kinds of foods contain refined sugars and are off limits this week for me?
- Energy bars (Cliff Bars, etc) even if it contains Agave
- Juice (Orange juice from a carton with added sugar)
- Candy, Cookies, Ice Cream etc
- Cereal with added sugar
- Anything with HFCS (high fructose corn syrup), like BBQ sauce or sweetened dressings
